OVERVIEW
After an Honorable Discharge from the United
States Air Force and a nine year Law Enforcement career, Joey entered the
private sector, assisting plaintiff firms exclusively with cases of nursing home
neglect and abuse.
In 1998, Joey began working cases that involved the neglect and abuse of residents or patients in a nursing home or hospital for the Law Firm of Wilkes and McHugh, under the supervision of Attorney Jerry Taylor. In less than a year, at the request of the main office, located in Tampa, Fl., he assumed the title of Regional Manager where he investigated, trained, and supervised other investigators in the states of Texas, Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, and North Florida. He remained there until the firm closed the Birmingham, Alabama office in 2001.
In 2001, Joey Dumas formed Dumas Medical Investigations, Inc. and followed the lead of his mentor, Jerry Taylor, when he assumed a position with the nationally recognized firm of Beasley, Allen, Crow, Methvin, Portis and Miles in Montgomery, Alabama. Dumas Medical Investigations currently investigates nursing home cases on contract for Beasley Allen.
Our current expansion plans include increasing our client base as well as expanding into other states.
